For most road users street planks are rather a symbol for nuisance, insofar they narrow the roadway to slim spaces or push pedestrians tightly against the house walls. Every year, with beginning of the summer holidays red and white painted planks dominate the streetscape at which you feel either at ease or must get used during the next months. Ovidiu Anton picked a piece of red-white from each of these construction sites. Assorted and glued to a flat, the fragments were subjected to a complex transformation process in the studio of the artist.
